For your viewing enjoyment, Mike Burke shows why securing your boat instead of just jumping off might be important. You owe Jr big!
Heres a list of required safety equipment from the Mass Environmental Police site. No need to be hassled 10-22-2013
This is a proposed schedule for next year. The lakes may change, but the dates should remain the same. Also, Lake Shirley will be replaced with the A-1 site, and Highland lake is in Stoddard NH, not Strafford.
Well the season is officially over. Congrats to Rick and Patrick for 1st and Lunker at the CT River in Hinsdale, Toby and Mark for being the winning team on the season, and Wayne and Ron for Lunker of the year. The banquet is slated for sometime in March, we'll keep everyone updated.
Nice job by all the "loners" on Pawtuckaway. Ed jr with the win, Rick with third, and Mike Burke with lunker all without a partner. I forgot to get the score card from Danny, so when I do Ill update the standings. See you Sunday the 29th at Monomonac for a 7:00a.m. start.
Congrats to Mark and Toby on first an lunker. Maybe one of these days someone will remember were supposed to take pictures. See ya at Pawtuckaway on the 21st. This one is a 7:00a.m. start
Congratulations to Team Vitale for first and lunker on what has to be the ugliest score card in the history of competitive fishing. If Bill Dance and Roland Martin were dead, they would be rolling over in their graves. Thank god the next one is at the CT River so we can all renew our faith in the brown bass
The Big Money Open will be postponed. Apparently nobody want to pay $200 to fish in the rain and thunder all nite. Ill post updates when its going to happen when I get them
$$$Big Money Open$$$
The big money open tourney will be Friday Nite, August 9th at Whitehall in Hopkinton. It will be from 5:00p.m. to 1:00a.m. Its $200 a boat, team tournament. You dont have to be a club member to participate, but all G-L-F-F rules will be followed. NO DEAD FISH! Or else we'll block the gate and set Ricky on ya!
Congrats to Team Cavalarho on the win in our first nite tourney, and Vitales for second and lunker
Another good day out on the water. Congrats once again to "Team Ed" on back to back victories on the Nash. Nice job Rick on second fishing alone, and to Ronnie for another lunker. Some guys brought their "A" game, others just brought the gun show! See you at Webster for our first night tourney.
Safety Equipment. Most of the state equipment carriage requirements are similar to federal laws. This primary list includes life preservers, fire extinguishers, signaling devices, visual distress signals, and navigation lights. In Massachusetts, life preservers are required to be worn by: (1) youth less than 12 years of age (2) personal watercraft users (3) waterskiers (4) canoeists/kayakers from September 15 - May 15. A boat owner or a boat's operator is responsible to ensure that passengers on-board wear life preservers as required. Additionally, the state requires that all motorboats (with the exception of personal watercraft) be equipped with an anchor, manual bailer, and line. A paddle or an oar is required on boats less than 16 feet in length. Motorboats towing skiers must also be equipped with a boarding ladder. Registration and numbering of all boats powered by machinery is required.
